Mireia Conangla, psychologist
General health psychologist
For more than 25 years I have had the privilege of practicing the profession I am passionate about.
I am a psychologist, my initial clinical training has been expanded over the years by delving into different therapeutic approaches and with advanced training in trauma, attachment, emotional regulation, internal parts, dissociation, and other complementary ones that enrich my clinical practice.
My approach to support
My way of supporting people stems from both my professional training and my own life
journey. My essence, my history, and my family roots have built my internal world—a living
source that grows and through which I relate to and interpret life. From this place, I look,
listen, and remain present in the processes of others with authenticity, respect, and
sensitivity.
I believe that a therapist's self-knowledge is fundamental; therefore, I am committed to my
own personal and professional process to offer a high-quality presence and attention.
I balance my private practice in Girona, where I offer in-person and online sessions for adults and adolescents to improve their quality of life and mental health, with my work in the Public Mental Health Network (CSM Garrotxa). There, I have specialized in treating individuals with eating disorders for 20 years, and I serve as a clinical supervisor for Psychology students, Clinical Psychology residents (PIR), and Master's level psychologists.
In the private sector, I also provide professional supervision for mental health
practitioners and conduct training workshops.
I have extensive teaching experience in
both public (XSM) and private sectors (academies, schools, community centers, etc.) on Eating
Disorders, as well as preventive workshops in high schools.
I am a member of the Trauma and EMDR Working Group of the Official College of Psychologists of Girona.
How do I work?
My perspective
I work from an integrative perspective, combining EMDR, constructivism,
systemic, humanistic, narrative, and cognitive-behavioral models, alongside
various therapeutic tools.
I view therapy as a safe space to put words to what is
happening, give meaning to one's own story, and build kinder ways of being in the world in
service of autonomy and mental health.
